part of the Bhimeshwor Municipality of the Dolakha District of Nepal. The establishment of the township dates back to 14th century and is cited to be the first city-kingdom of Nepal to issue coins. It has enigmatic era and a rich heritage thus lending its name to a district. Home to a rich culture and tradition,Dolakha town is predominantly a Newar settlement.
The village is home to the religious divine Bhimeshwor Temple. Besides with its long history the town is dotted with temples and stupas. This village has a status of town in a Nepalese context and was once a major stopover for Indo-Nepal-Tibet trade routes thus giving it a rich socio-economic history but lost it charm with change of regime and restricting of the states
